MEMBERS' CRITIQUE SERVICE The Society's Critique Service exists to offer help and advice to members on their work. The fee for submitting work is £30. Cheques should be made payable to the relevant critic, and critics are usually willing to negotiate a fee where members would like further critiques on longer work. You may send up to six poems, two short stories, or two articles – or the opening chapter and synopsis of a novel or work of non-fiction. When submitting by mail, PLEASE ENCLOSE a suitably sized and correctly stamped addressed envelope for return of your manuscript and critique(s). The critique team includes the following members : POETRY Fay Marshall is a widely published poet and prize winner. She has written how-to articles, run workshops and classes, and adjudicated various competitions. She is a former reviewer and editorial panellist, English correspondent for an Irish Literary quarterly and regional representative for the Poetry Society. Former editor of Cadenza, Zoë has taught creative writing for many years, and has developed a reputation for offering comprehensive and incisive critiques. ARTICLES AND NON-FICTION BOOKS Wendy Hughes has had 25 non-fiction books, and over 1600 articles published on a variety of subjects, and a regular column in an American/Welsh newspaper. She also writes all the literature for a medical charity. Wendy won the National Association of Writers Groups Award of Journalism, and her most recent success was a commended award in the Lady Violet Astor competition for the best published article in 2007/2008.
