The Making of a Poem

This was the Australian sequel to the UK Amazon number 1 book on poetry by Rosanna McGlone, redrafting The Process of Poetry. It was launched by 5 Islands Press last month. Both books explore the development of a poem from an early draft to its final iteration in conversation with leading poets. In the UK these included Don Paterson, Gillian Clarke, George Szirtes and Pascale Petit, and in Australia they included Anthony Lawrence, Judith Beveridge and Sarah Holland Batt.  The differences in subject matter, form and approach are fascinating to see.
